CEWIGO organized a National Dialogue that targeted Women in Uniform under the theme: “The role of Women in Uniform in prevention and response to Gender Based Violence (GBV)”.
The event was held on 7th December 2018 at Imperial Royale Hotel in line with the National Theme of the 16 days of activism against GBV (End GBV in the work place). The 16 days of activism against GBV is a global campaign that runs from the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women on 25th November to the International Human Rights Day on 10th December every year.
The Campaign which was initiated in 1991 by the Centre for Women’s Global Leadership has since then been embraced worldwide by different stakeholders including CSOs, governments, development partners and individual activists.
